A ROMANTIC DOUBLE BEDROOM AND BATHROOM IN THE HEARTH OF MAREMMA, IN “CANA” A MIDDLE-AGE VILLAGE – VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACHES

Only 30 km from the wild beaches of Maremma, on the edge of the historic centre of Cana, “THE RETREAT” is a ‘romantic’, shabby chic double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and an independent entrance from a quite, solitary street.

The village and the building are very old! There are some documents demonstrating that the “borgo di sotto” of Cana was built around the 14^th century.

So it was needed a hard and long work to restore the building where THE RETREAT is.

The bedroom and the bathroom have generous sizes. Their style is ‘shabby chic’ with some touches of vintage and modern.

All the furniture and accessories have been selected with all the passion for interior design to create a romantic, cosy environment.

The original walls and ceiling have been restored leaving their original appearance and giving them a new light, by painting them in white.

Details in blue, grey and gold give the environment the feeling to be near the sea and a touch of elegance, enhanced by original vintage images of old fashion models taken by the tailoring of the father of one of the owners.

The bathroom is an ‘Italian’ bath, with a large shower, a toilet, a bidé and a washbasin; all in a contemporary style. The vintage tiles reproduce the texture of old hand-made ‘cementine’.

The bedroom is also equipped with WI-FI, TV, coffee machine; air conditioning is not necessary due to the natural isolation of the building.
